Columbia SC 63 Walking Tours

Explore History. Discover Community. Walk Through the Stories That Shaped Columbia.

As part of Juneteenth Week 2026, the South Carolina Juneteenth Freedom Fest is proud to partner with

Columbia SC 63 to offer two special walking tours highlighting the people, places, businesses, institutions, and movements that helped shape Black life in Columbia and Richland County.

These guided experiences provide an opportunity to explore local history beyond the classroom by walking the streets where pivotal moments unfolded and learning about the individuals whose contributions continue to impact our community today.

Whether you're a lifelong resident or visiting for the first time, you'll gain a deeper understanding of Columbia's rich cultural legacy and the stories that connect our past to our future.
